Nokia Lumia 920 Arriving At Vodafone UK As Of January 2013

In the United Kingdom, Nokia Lumia 920 was so far available exclusively at EE. EE’s exclusivity for Lumia 920 will come to an end, as Vodafone UK has officially announced that Nokia’s Windows Phone 8-powered flagship smartphone will join its line-up as of January 2013.

This means that Vodafone UK will add another member to its Windows Phone 8 portfolio, next to HTC Windows Phone 8X, HTC Windows Phone 8S, and Nokia Lumia 820. You can see that Samsung ATIV S is missing from the list, a WP8-powered smartphone that is highly anticipated by the supporters of Microsoft’s mobile operating system. Hopefully the South Korean’s smartphone will also hit the UK retailer, soon/

Nokia Lumia 920 comes with a 4.5-inch IPS display with 1,280 x 720 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection, being underpinned by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 SoC based on two Krait cores clocked at 1.5 GHz. The Nokia flagship smartphone also packs 1 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage (no microSD card support), 3G, LTE, 8 megapixel camera with 1080p capabilities, and 2,000 mAh battery, all these while weighing in 185 grams.

Presonally, I was expecting the Windows Phone 8 smartphones to hit the markets faster, but it seems that the OEMs are leaving us waiting. The first smartphone running Microsoft’s new mobile OS was HTC 8X, followed by HTC 8S and Nokia Lumia 820.
