Apple officially announced the iPhone 5 in September 2012 and a couple of days later it debuted on the US and several other markets.

After the iPhone 5 debuted in South Korea last week, the Cupertino-based company also launched its flagship smartphone in 33 other countries: Albania, Antigua and Barbuda, Armenia, Bahamas, Bahrain, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, China, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Ecuador, Grenada, Indonesia, Israel, Jamaica, Jordan, Kuwait, Macedonia, Malaysia, Moldova, Montenegro, Panama, Paraguay, Philippines, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Taiwan, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and Venezuela.

As you probably know the iPhone 5 is the latest addition to Apple’s smartphone line-up, being the company’s first smartphone to pack a display greater than 3.5-inches.

iPhone 5 features a 4-inch LED-backlit IPS TFT display with a resolution of 640 x 1136 pixels and a pixel density of 326 pixels, protected against scratches by a Gorilla Glass layer, and comes pre-loaded with the latest iteration of Apples mobile operating system, iOS 6.

The flagship smartphone of the Cupertino-based company is underpinned by an Apple A6 SoC based on two CPU cores that borrow architecture both from A9 and Krait cores, clocked at 1.2 GHz, and helped by a triple-core PowerVR SGX 543MP3 GPU.

iPhone 5 also comes with 2 GB of RAM, an 8 megapixel primary camera with autofocus, LED flash, simultaneous HD video and picture recording, panorama mode, BSI sensor, and full HD video recording capabilities, plus a front-facing 1.2 megapixel camera with support for HD FaceTime video calls.

As usual, the iOS-powered smartphone comes in two body colors, Black and White, and three internal storage options, 16, 32, and 64 GB. The connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, 3.5 mm audio jack, 4G LTE support, and Apple’s proprietary Lighting dock connector.
