Windows Phone 8 App Launched In Windows Store For Windows 8 And Windows RT, Say Goodbye To Zune

Windows 8 debuted last Friday and there are already people around the world using Microsoft’s latest operating system, while Windows Phone 8 will debut a few hours later today.

The Redmond-based company is doing the last preparations ahead of the highly anticipated launch, and Microsoft included in Windows 8 and Windows RT stores a new application called Windows Phone 8.

The Windows Phone 8 app allows the users to synchronize their tablets or PCs running on Windows 8 or Windows RT with their Windows Phone 8 smartphones. Therefore using the new app that is available in Windows Store you will be able to synchronize your music, photos, videos and other documents between the computer and smartphone.

You can use the Windows Phone 8 app to share searches, save photos/videos made with the smartphone’s camera. The app also allows you to download smartphone applications directly on your computer than later install them on your Windows Phone 8 device or locate your WP8 smartphone in case it got lost.

All you need is a handset running on Windows Phone 8 or Windows Phone 7.8 in order to interact with the application installed on Windows 8. Either way, I hope that the Windows Phone 8 app that recently debuted in Windows Store will be faster and smoother than Zune, an app that had a “chaotic” behavior when you tried to sync your Windows Phone 7 device with the PC.
