Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Up For Pre-Order At Verizon And AT&T, Priced $300

It has been a while since the Samsung released its new Galaxy Note 2, but until now it has been available only in Europe. Now, it’s time for the customers in the US to have the chance to buy Samsung’s largest smartphone, also called a “phablet”. Both big players in the US, meaning Verizon and AT&T, are offering the device with a two-year contract for $300.

The AT&T version is already expected for pre-order, therefore you can book one starting today. The date when Verizon will start sell the Galaxy Note 2 is unknown yet, but it will probably be as soon as this week. . Sprint will also receive its copy today, so all the major carriers will have it on sale. It’s up to you from which one  you want to buy the device.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 features an Exynos 4 Quad SoC based on four Cortex A9 cores clocked at 1.6GHz helped by a Mali 400 GPU with quad-core graphics. The South-Korean phablet also comes with 2GG of RAM, 16/32/64 GB of internal storage, MicroSD card slot and an 8MP camera capable of recording full HD videos and simultaneously HD video and picture capture.

However, the icing on the cake is the 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with HD resolution, protected against scratches by Gorilla Glass 2. In terms of connectivity, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 boasts Wi-Fi a/b/g/n bluetooth, NFC, MicroUSB, all these while being able to withstand 4G LTE download speeds. The smartphone runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box and it will probably receive the Android 4.2 firmware update as soon as Google rolls it out next Monday.
