Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Update Pushed For Nexus 7 And Galaxy Nexus

Google has started to push the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for Samsung Nexus S, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Nexus, and the ASUS Nexus 7 tablet. As you probably guessed, this is not a major firmware update, but one that fixes some bugs to improve the user experience.

Of course, the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update first arrived on Google’s tablet, Nexus 7. Earlier this month there were some rumors talking about a new version of Google’s mobile operating system, now confirmed by the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update. It was developed via AOSP – Android Open Source Project, and, as I mentioned about the Nexus 7 users are the first capable of installing it on their devices.

Some of the Google Nexus 7 owners have┬ácomplained about the lack of landscape mode in the tablet’s homescreen, but search engine giant heard the voice of the people, and the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for Nexus 7 brings this feature, next so some other minor changes that come to improve the system performance and stability and to fix some bugs. Unfortunately, there aren’t more details currently available.

As about the Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphone, the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for this device will hit the unlocked terminals first, therefore if you purchased it on contract with a carrier, you will have to wait a bit more until the mobile operator’s software engineers are optimizing it.

The next wave of devices that will receive the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmware update are Nexus S and Motorola Xoom. We will keep our eyes on Google and hopefully we will get more details.

As always, we are eager to know which of you have already received the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update and we are looking forward to hear about your feedback, so we are inviting you to comment in the section below.

Summing up, it seems that the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update will have the biggest impact on Nexus 7, the Google tablet co-developed with ASUS. Nexus 7 brings a 7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels, quad-core Tegra 3 CPU at 1.2 GHz, 1 GB of RAM, 8 or 16 Gb of internal flash storage and a front-facing camera.
