Next Nexus Smartphone Might Be Developed By LG, Could Be Launched In October

According to some rumors, Google is getting ready to launch several Nexus models, teaming up with the biggest Android smartphone makers. Many of you probably know, that the Nexus line-up comes pre-loaded with an Android version dubbed Vanilla, which brings a pure experience without software changes performed by the manufacturer. As well, the Nexus devices are the first in line when it comes to new Android firmware updates.

Google has introduced a new Nexus smartphone each time a major update of its operating system was launched. Even though Jelly Bean was not supposed to be a major update, receiving the Android 4.1 indicative, the new software version brings a lot of interesting improvements, therefore the search engine giant might also unveil a new smartphone soon.

According to the latest reports, the launch of the new Nexus smartphone will take place in the next 30 days. Moreover, rumor has it that the new smartphone will run a new Android version, but not a major update from Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, but rather Android 4.2.

There are voices saying that the next Google dev phone will be announced at AllThingsD: Dive Into Mobile event, between October 29th – 30th. It seems that Andy Rubin, Google Senior Vice President of Mobile and Digital Content, will be the person to introduce the new terminal.

Even though Samsung was the company to develop the last Nexus smartphone, it seems that Google is casting glances elsewhere, with LG and Sony among the favorites. It seems that LG and its new Optimus G terminal attracted Google’s attention, and that the parents of Android would want a Nexus smartphone based on the South Korean flagship, powered by a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset.

Considering that the Nexus devices are very popular among developers who use them to test their creations and since Google have already offered a starting point for the Tegra platform with the launch of Nexus 7, we should expect a more conventional approach when it comes to the hardware configuration of the next Nexus. The terminal mist be compatible with all the apps and games that are already available and with those that will be developed in the near future.
