HP Debuts All-in-one PCs Running On Windows 8, Price Starts At $499

Almost two weeks have passed since HP had unveiled a few of its upcoming Windows 8 Ultrabooks and convertible PCs. Now, the company is presenting its brand new all-in-one PCs.

HP is about to release several devices this fall (The HP Spectre One, HP Envy 23, HP Envy 20 TouchSmart and the HP Pavilion 20). Running on Windows 8, the computers have features included on other similar PCs such as NFC technology and touch screens.

The HP Spectre One is kind of flagship computer being designed for those who are searching for an impressive PC. It sports a 23.6-inch full HD non-touch display and features a wireless trackpad that allows users to browse through the OS by using the touchpad. Microsoft claims that Windows 8 can work without any problems on non-touchscreen PCs, even though it’s primarily developed to work with touchscreens.

The Spectre One is HP’s larger computer, but also the thinnest being only 0.45 inch thick. It includes an HDMI connector, two USB 3.0 ports and two USB 2.0 ports. In case you have a smartphone that features NFC technology you can use it to transfer data such as photos, contacts and other items to the Spectre One. All you have to do is tap it to the base of the PC, which has NFC.

The Spectre One is equipped with Intel’s latest CPUs and can be configured with up to 2TB of internal storage and solid-state drive in order to have faster boot-up times. The computer is supposed to be released sometime in November and will have a price tag from $1,299.

The HP Envy 23 and Envy 20 Touchsmart are quite similar. Both feature a little more compact design than the Spectre One. They come with 23-inch and 20-inch HD touchscreens. The processors are offered by Intel and can support as much as three terabytes of storage and solid-state drives. Both PCs are due for launch in October with the prices beginning at $999 for the Envy 23 and $799 for the Envy 20.

Of course, there is also a simpler and cheaper alternative. The HP Pavilion 20 come with a 20-inch HD non-touch screen and can offer up to 2TB of storage and two processors. You can opt for an Intel or AMD CPU. The computer will be launched in October and will have a starting price of $499.
