Asus Transformer TF300 Receives Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Update In Us

Good news for the Asus Transformer TF300 owners. Starting yesterday, the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean firmware update have started to roll out in the US. But the Americans aren’t the only ones with a real reason to cheer, as the highly-anticipated firmware update will soon hit other markets, as well.

Asus proves one more time they are moving very fast when it comes to porting the new Android firmwares on their tablets. TF300 would be world’s third tablet with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, after Google Nexus 7 (comes out of the box with Android 4.1) and Motorola Xoom.

Besides many other goodies, the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for Asus Transformers TF300 brings new features for the power consumption modes, detailed file search and improved pre-installed applications.

ASUS Transformer TF300 features a 10.1-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels and 16 million colors and a dock-in full QWERTY keyboard with built-in battery and trackpad. The Asus tablet is powered by a quad-core Tegra 3 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, while sporting 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot that supports up to 32 GB, and ULP GeForce GPU.

Transformer TF300 packs a 22 Wh battery, is 9.3 mm thick and weighs in 635 grams.
