Sony Xperia GX And Xperia SX To Arrive Next Week At NTT Docomo Japan

Sony has a different smartphone line up for their domestic market, Japan, but I am pretty sure that both the Europeans and the Americans would be glad to get their hands on their devices. Two new smartphones will soon hit the Japanese stores, via NTT Docomo carrier: Sony Xperia GX and Sony Xperia SX. The two aforementioned smartphones come with LTE connectivity and this one of the reasons why the Europeans would probably never see them in flesh, as they are bound to the carriers with compatible networks.

Let’s take a look at the technical specifications of Sony Xperia SX and Sony Xperi GX. The latter one will be the successor of the last year’s Sony Xperia Arc, while Xperia SX will be the mid-end smartphone of the line-up.

Sony Xperia GX features a LED-backlit LCD display, sized 4.6-inches (diagonally), with a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. The high-end smartphone is powered by a dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 Krait CPU clocked at 1.5GHz and helped by an Adreno 225 GPU. Xperia GX comes with 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal flash storage and microSD card slot that supports up to 32 GB. It has a 13 megapixel primary camera, while the front-facing camera has a 1.3 megapixel sensor.

It comes pre-loaded with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and, in terms of connectivity, it has LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, bluetooth 3.1, microUSB, 3.5 audio jack mm and GPS. Sony Xperia GX gets its power from a 1,700 mAh battery, while weighing in 127 grams and being 8.6 mm thick.

On the other hand Sony Xperia SX sports a 3.7-inch display with LED-backlit LCD technology and qHD resolution (540 x 960 pixels). The Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich-powered smartphone is underpinned by the same dual-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm MSM8960 Krait processor with Adreno 225 GPU and has 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB internal storage and microSD card (up to 32 GB).

Xperia SX has WiFi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.1, microUSB, 3.5 mm audio jack, GPS and, of course, LTE support. The battery is slightly smaller than its brother’s, 1,500 mAh. The smartphone is 9.4 mm thick and weighs in 95 grams. It features two cameras: 8 megapixel front-facing and 1.3 megapixel unit for video calls.
