Assembled iPhone 5 Pictures Hit The Web

Two things have crossed my mind after looking at the pictures of what it seems to be an iPhone 5: the next-gen iPhone is the biggest Apple smartphone so far and the team responsible with its design is out of ideas, creating a smartphone that looks a lot like its predecessor, the iPhone 4S.

We’ve seen a lot of iPhone 5 concepts, we’ve seen a lot of iPhone 5 parts, but this is the first time we are looking at the pictures of an assembled next-gen iPhone, made from the parts currently available. The smartphone looks as real as it can be, and this might actually be the terminal many of us will have it in their pockets this fall.

You can see that the terminal has a part-metal part-glass body, that the 3.5 mm jack was repositioned to the bottom of the device next to the mic/speaker grills, while the edges were slightly redesigned.

The pictures coming from iLab Factory, a Chinese part supplier, are raveling an assembled terminal, which might be the next-gen Apple smartphone, unofficially dubbed iPhone 5. Because Apple decided to go silent over the accuracy of the pictures below, it’s hard to tell whether the device is the real deal or it’s a good dummy. The infos provided by the rumor mill seem to confirm the first version.

In the gallery bellow you can see the new 19-pin dock connector, shrunken to meet EU demands and to make room for bigger speakers. The display is tall and considerably bigger than iPhone 4S’, while the back case keeps a flat design, that replaces the glass surfaces with a polished aluminium finishing.

There’s a mic between the camera and the LED flash and the iPhone 5 looks thinner than the iPhone 4/4S, while the FaceTime camera was repositioned in the middle of the top bezel.

Now all we can do is wait until Apple officially unveils their smartphone and see whether the classic design used by the Cupertino-based company for their 3.5-inch smartphones combined with a taller display is enough to persuade the consumers.
