Samsung Galaxy S3 Verizon Release Date Tipped For July 12th

As you probably know, Samsung Galaxy S3 release date have been delayed on the US market, so those who were eager to get their hands on the amazing South Korean flagship phone will still have to wait a few more weeks.

If you already pre-ordered Samsung Galaxy S3 from Verizon you probably received a notification saying that the smartphone would arrive at your door on July 9th or 10th.

Verizon initially announced that they will be the last of the big four US carriers to have the Samsung Galaxy S3 available for purchase, and now we might even have a release date for the 4.8-inch smartphone. Hhgregg have listed the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 as being available starting July 12th, but we can’t take the aforementioned retailer’s release date as granted until the Big Red issues an official statement to confirm it.

Samsung Galaxy S3 16 GB has a price tag of $199 with a two-year contract at Verizon.

Samsung Galaxy S3 was officially presented on May 3rd at a Samsung event in London and it will be the official phone of the 2012 Olympic Games held in the capital city of UK. It was officially launched on 28 markets so far, including Europe, Malaysia and India.

The US variant is a bit different from the global model. Even though the design and the display size have been kept, the US model will sport a LTE-friendly dual-core Snapdragon S4 chipset clocked at 1.5 GHz (instead of the quad-core 1.4 GHz Exynos Quad CPU), but it will come with 2 GB of RAM instead of 1.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 model for US will pack a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD display protected by Gorilla Glass 2, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and an 8 megapixel primary camera with LED flash, autofocus, full HD video recording support and simultaneous HD video and image recording.
