New iPhone 5 Leaked Pictures Show A Fully Assembled Device

We’ve already seen a lot of leaked pictures and videos of the iPhone 5 case so far, but now we get to see for the first time how the next generation Apple smartphone might look like.

In the gallery bellow you can have a look at what it seems to be a fully assembled iPhone 5 and you can see for your self that the case looks way better than what the previous pictures showed. After a quick inspection you can easily figure out that the iPhone 5′s edges are darker matching the case, the camera is a lot bigger and the material used for the back case doesn’t seem to be aluminium.

The leaked iPhone 5 pictures also confirm the smaller dock connector, which will supposedly replace the current unit, and the larger speaker grills on the bottom end of the the device.

The alleged iPhone 5 is running on AT&T’s network and what surprised me is that it is underpinned by iOS 5, instead of the freshly launched iOS 6. The new Map app icon blew iOS 5′s cover as it has that small red dot, instead of the blue dot introduced in iOS 6.

Anyway, no one can confirm whether this is the real iPhone 5 or a device created by an enthusiast, based on the rumors that surfaced on the web lately.

Talking about iPhone 5 rumors, they say the new Apple smartphone will sport a 4.08-inch Retina display, 1 GB of RAM, LTE capabilities and a more powerful processor. What processor? We don’t know yet, but, judging by Apple’s previous product release pattern, the next iPhone might come with the dual-core A5X chipset of the new iPad. That’s what happened chipsets of iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. The first one came with the single-core 800 MHz A4 CPU also found inside Apple iPad, while the latter one had iPad 2′s dual-core A5 chipset.

iPhone 5 will be Apple’s first smartphone to run iOS 6.0 out of the box, an operating system introduced two days ago at WWDC 2012 event in San Francisco. In my opinion iOS 6.0 doesn’t bring any major change except for the new Maps app and Facebook integration. Many of the Apple fans expected colossal improvements for Apple’s mobile operating system that is starting to look kind of old and dull.

As about iPhone 5 release date, latest reports say that Apple will introduce their new product in early September. A source inside Apple said on Monday that the next generation iPhone will be launched in September, an information backed-up by Ming-Chi Kuo, KGI Securities analyst, famous for his accurate predictions regarding unreleased Apple products.
