New iPhone 5 Video Confirms Bigger Display And Longer, Unibody Case

Today we get to see a new video with the alleged iPhone 5 back case. ETradeSupply have uploaded a video on Youtube where one of their team members is holding the case of an Apple smartphone.

This could be back the new iPhone 5, the iOS smartphone that might see the light of day this fall. The guy in the video makes a detailed presentation of the new iPhone 5 case and he insists that the new smartphone will sport a 4-inch display, 0.5-inch bigger than the one installed in the iPhone 4S.

The new video have unveiled that Apple has changed the design of the iPhone 5, now with a bigger hole for the camera, probably an 8 megapixel unit, a HDMI out, a new dock connector and a repositioned audio jack.

If the case is the real deal, then the new iPhone 5 would be thinner than its successor, just like we’ve told you in some previous articles. The new Apple gadget seems to be about 20% thinner and definitely taller than the iPhone 4S.

According to iLounge the iPhone 5 will measure 125 x 58.5 x 7.4 mm, 10 mm taller and 2 mm thinner than the current iOS flagship smartphone.

A couple of days ago we’ve told you that the new iPhone 5, which will most likely debut sometime in October, will sport a 4-inch display with a resolution of 1,136×640 pixels.

9to5mac says that the next generation iPhone will feature a new chipset, too, Samsung 5L8950X ARM, unofficially dubbed “A5-***.” Rumor has it that the processor inside the iPhone 5 will be a lot more powerful than iPhone 4S’ S5L8940X and new iPad’s S5L8945X. What we don’t know for sure is whether it will be a dual-core or quad-core CPU, but my guess is that it will be based on two cores.

What we know for sure is that the new iOS 6-powered smartphone will have 1 GB of RAM, 512 MB more than the latest iPhone model.

You can easily see that the design of the camera module was also revised and that the case has a smaller hole for the dock connector. Moreover, it seems that apple have relocated the 3.5 mm jack on the bottom of the device, in the left of the dock connector.

They say that iPhone 5 will come with a 8-12 megapixel camera with full HD video recording capabilities and helped by an image chip and that it will have iOS 6.0 out of the box.

The rumor mill says that the Apple smartphone that will debut in the fall was masterminded and designed by Steve Jobs before he died. The tech genius wanted a smartphone with a bigger display, thinner, more powerful and easier to use.

Sources close to the matter say that Steve Jobs worked shoulder to shoulder with his engineers to develop the new smartphone, and the launch was delayed due to manufacturing issues.

Some rumors have indicated that the new iPhone will come with wireless recharging support. The smartphone will most likely be available in two color version, black and white, with 16 or 32 GB of internal storage.

A month ago Macotakara quoted anonymous sources that confirmed that iPhone 5 release date was set for next fall, in October.

According to the details unveiled by the popular Japanese website, Apple will change the pattern for their smartphone launches. Therefore, after the first iPhones were launched during the summer, June or July, iPhone 4S debuted in October 2011.

Thus, the new iPhone 5 will most likely be launched a year after the previous model have seen the light of day.
