Gigabyte X11 Set To Become World’s Lightest Ultrabook

Equipped with a 11.6-inch display and fitted into a case made of exotic materials like carbon fiber, Gigabyte X11 is set to become the lightest ultrabook in the world.

The case with a slim but solid construction has glossy surfaces, which remind us of carbon fiber. The same type of material, but a bit rougher, was used for the restpad. The chiclet keyboard seems to be a little bit crowded, when compared to the large restpad, but, fortunately, the keys groups are very well organized and they shouldn’t create you problems while typing.

Looking at the case, Gigabyte X11 seems to have some similarities with the Apple MacBook Air line-up, but with a color range that is darker, less ostentatious.

Gigabyte X11 was officially unveiled by the officials of the Chinese company along with its technical specifications. Therefore Gigabyte X11 sports a dual-core Intel Core Ivy Bridge ULV processor, Intel HD 4000 integrated graphic card, 4 GB of RAM DDR 3 dual-channel and SSD storage of 128 GB.

Gigabyte X11 also packs a 4,370 mAh battery that offers a battery life of 4-5 hours, USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 connectors, video mini-DisplayPort out, WiFi N network adapter, Bluetooth 3.0, and microSDHC card slot. Gigabyte X11 measures 97 x 192 x 3~16.5 mm and weighs in only 973 grams.

Depending on the components you choose for your Gigabyte X11, you would be able to acquire the ultrabook between $999 and $1299 starting this summer.
