Samsung Galaxy S3 Release Day Is Today In Australia

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is available in Australia as of today. This is the biggest surprise that Samsung Australia has prepared for the customers at the launching event that took place this very morning. Besides this, the Samsung officials also presented the full range of specs and features of the phone.

Tyler Mcgee, a Samsung Australia rep, thinks that the Galaxy S3 is the best smartphone ever released on the market thanks to its intuitive user experience, its design and the advanced technology in general. We all know that the device comes with three major features. First of all, S Voice allows users to perform task using just the sound of their voice. The second important new function is the Smart Stay which will enable the phone to stay awake when you are looking at it and go to sleep when you are not. The Direct Call feature is very interesting because when you are texting a friend and you suddenly decide that it would be easier to just call the guy, all you have to do is move the phone next to your ear and it will recognize your intention and dial the person.

Samsung announced that the people in Australia don’t have to wait any longer because the Samsung Galaxy S3 can already be found in retail stores and network.

Australia has three major mobile networks meaning Vodafone, Telstra and Optus. Of all three networks, Telstra is the only one that hasn’t updated its website yet with any information about the Galaxy S3. However, the carrier has confirmed that it will offer the device in the first half of the year.

On the other hand, Vodafone was already offering the device just a few hours after the Samsung launch event. The network offers the GS3 with 16GB of storage space in two plans, 12-moth and 24-month. If you choose to purchase the phone from Vodafone you will have to pay as low as $49 per month for two years. The plan includes unlimited national calls and 200 MB of data. Vodafone has a great offer for those who buy the Galaxy S3 before the end of June. The customers will get double data inclusion for the first 12 months of the contract, aside from being among the first to own the Korean device.

The last, but not least of the three major carriers is Optus which also has the Samsung Galaxy S3 on sale. Optus is offering both Marble White and Pebble Blue models at 16GB of internal storage. If you want to get the phone you can do that for $65 every months for two years. The plan includes unlimited texts and calls to other Optus phones and 1.5GB of data. Plus, you will also have unlimited access to social networks like Twitter and Facebook.

People can also buy the Samsung Galaxy S3 from Amazon. The price point is set at $799, but in case you want to get it from here you have to be quick about it because stocks are limited.

Mobile phones retailer MobiCity is offering the Galaxy S3 as well at the same price as Amazon and with a 12-month warranty. Besides the device itself, MobiCity is also offering all kinds of related accessories.

All the reviewers and tech critics say that the Samsung Galaxy S3 has great features and specs and has no competition on the market. The only possible device that could rival with Samsung’s new flagship smartphone is the iPhone 5, but who know what it will be able to do. So far, the Samsung Galaxy S family managed to beat the iPhone when it comes to performance and features.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 can run at very high speeds thanks to the Android ICS and also its high-end processor, the 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos which allows fast browsing without any lag.

The device can already be purchased in 28 countries all around the world, from Europe to the Middle East and now Australia. As for the competition, the iPhone 5 is expected to be released sometime in October 2012.
