New Apple TV User Interface To Be Showcased At WWDC 2012

New Apple TV User Interface To Be Showcased At WWDC 2012

A couple of days ago we’ve told you that one of the Foxconn chiefs reported that the Chinese company have begun the production of the Apple iTV. Today, we are returning with fresh details about Apple TV whose user interface might be unveiled at the company’s conference scheduled for mid-June.

WWDC 2012 is only weeks away and rumors regarding Apple’s future presentations are starting surface on the web. The guys at BGR are reporting that, at WWDC 2012 in June, Apple might demo the new user interface the company will use for their next generation TV, which might hit the market by the end of the year.

The user interface will also arrive on Apple TV 3rd generation, a gadget launched by the Cupertino-based company in March 2012, along with the new iPad.

But what’s so interesting about the OS of the new Apple TV is that it will integrate a control out API, which will allow the third party manufacturers to create accessories that will be compatible with Apple’s gadget.

This API would be compatible with the Apple remote-control and with the app for iDevices that allow the users to control the Apple TV, thus we are talking about complete control using iDevices and other accessories. Apple’s problem right now is to find the OEMs that would agree to implement this API into an Apple TV, but I strongly believe that the IT giant will soon get over this problem.

Basically the Apple TV OS and the API, which would allow third party manufacturers to develop accessories to control the TV, would be main improvements presented at WWDC 2012. Unfortunately Apple will definitely not show us the new TV at the San Francisco-based event.

But the analysts are talking about two products that will help Apple make it big in late 2012 and early 2013. Besides the highly anticipated iPhone 5, Tim Cook’s guys are also liked with the development of an Apple iTV.

We already know that the next-gen iOS smartphone might sport a bigger display, probably a 4-inch Retina panel, and that it will be more powerful than the current generation of iPhone. Rumor has it that the device will be officially unveiled in the fall.

As about Apple iTV, the rumor mill says that the launching event was scheduled December 2012, followed by a market debut in the first quarter of 2013. Source say that Apple iTV have a price between $1,500 – $2,000, it will be controlled using an iPad or iPhone and that it will integrate the Siri voice control system.
