Google Nexus Tablet Specs Leaked

Google Nexus Tablet Specs Leaked

There is no doubt that when Amazon released its Kindle Fire, the sales skyrocketed. Of course, the main reason why the Amazon’s tablet had a great success wasn’t because it has amazing specs, but because it was the most affordable tablet on the market.

Google was probably jealous and the internet giant took the decision of making a cheap Android device in collaboration with Asus. It has been speculated that the tablet would be released under the Nexus brand and it will have a price around $199. It’s obvious that Google is trying to follow the steps of the Kindle Fire and its great success.

The information about the new device has been vague until now, neither Google or Asus have given any clarifying statements. However, the usual has happened and leaked info can be found on the internet that pictures an idea about the specs of the Google Nexus tablet. The leaked information comes from the Rightware benchmark result site.

An unknown device until now, the tablet is listed on the benchmark testing site under the name of Google Asus Nexus 7. The rumors that have been surfing the web for the past few weeks claimed that Google will make the tablet with a 7-inch display, thus the name Nexus 7 comes from the size of the screen.

According to the information on the benchmarking website, the Google Asus Nexus 7 will have a 1.3GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad core chip. Also, the device seems to be featuring a 768 x 128 resolution screen and an NVIDIA ULP GeForce graphics chip.

As for the leaked information, among Google circles the project is known as “grouper”. Also, the project has the build number JRN51B. We know that J stands for Jelly Bean. Another thing that needs to be specified is that fact that the Google Asus Nexus 7 will not feature Android 5.0 as most have been speculating. Instead, the device will come packed with Android 4.1.
