Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE For South Korea To Come With Bigger Display And Revised Design

On May 3rd we’ve been able to see the Samsung Galaxy S3 in flesh for the first time at Samsung Unpacked event in London. The highly-anticipated smartphone was, well… highly-anticipated as the South Korean company announced that over 10 million Galaxy S3 units have already been pre-ordered.

After the technical specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S3 were revealed we were all impressed. But, soon after we found out that the Japanese Galaxy S3 variant will feature 2 GB of RAM. Why are the Japanese getting more RAM? We don’t know yet.

This time we are talking about some design changes for one of Samsung Galaxy S3 variants. The guys at Mobile Phone Blog got their hands on a photo that shows the South Korean Samsung Galaxy S3 variation, which will be a lot different from the global model. You can see in the picture above that the South Korean company decided to revive the design of Samsung Galaxy S2, with its sharp edges.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE version for South Korea is incompatible with the quad-core 1.4 GHz Exynos 4 Quad chipset manufactured by Samsung, thus the variation for the South Korean market will sport a dual-core chipset, most likely a Snapdragon S4 from Qualcomm.

The picture indicates that the Korean version has a bigger display. With a revised design, a bigger display and 4G LTE support, Samsung Galaxy S3 might make the South Koreans happier than ever.

The international Samsung Galaxy S3 sports a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display, 1 GB of RAM, 16/32/64 GB of internal flash storage, 8 megapixel primary camera with autofocus, support for full HD video recording and LED flash and a quad-core 1.4 GHz Exynos chipset. The smartphone also comes with a two year free subscription to Dropbox that offers 50 GB of storage in the cloud. But what’s even more impressive about the new Samsung flagship are features like S-Voice, S-Beam, Smart Alarm, Direct Call, Smart Stay and Best Photo.
