Angry Birds, PES 2012 And Skype Don’t Run On Nokia Lumia 610

The Skype application from Windows Phone Marketplace can’t be installed on Nokia Lumia 610 – a low-end Windows Phone Mango smartphone created for the masses.

You would be tempted to get your hands on the cheap Windows Phone device, but maybe you would change your mind after finding out that many apps are simply refusing to run on the Nokia Lumia 610.

We’ve been able to see Nokia Lumia 610 in action for the first time in February 2012, at Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona, as it was announced as the affordable solution of Nokia’s Windows Phone line-up.

But it looks like that its low-end technical specifications stop Lumia 610 to run applications like Angry Birds, PES 2012, Skype or Tango (a Skype alternative).

Angry Birds is world’s most downloaded game for mobile platforms and I am pretty sure that most of the smartphone owners have tried it at least once. But not the Nokia Lumia 610 owners as the game can’t run on their device.

Neither does PES 2012, Konami’s response to EA sport’s famous FIFA 12. Skype is one of the world’s biggest chat clients and it is on the list of apps that won’t work on your Nokia Lumia 610.

Nokia Lumia 610 features a 3.7-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen display, 8 GB of internal flash storage, 256 MB of RAM, 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash and a single core 800 MHz CPU. All these technical specs are placing Nokia’s device in the dark era of smartphones, but its price may attract a lot of customers.

Thus, if you decide to purchase a Nokia Lumia 610 you won’t be able to play the most popular title of the mobile terminals universe, a real sales hit on all the platforms it was ported it. It doesn’t seem like a big tragedy to me, as you can get your hands on a Windows Phone 7.5 Mango device without having to mortgage your house for the third time.
