Samsung Galaxy S3 Pebble Blue Debut Delayed Due To Manufacturing Faults

Now that the Samsung Galaxy S3 was officially unveiled, everybody wants to see it, feel it, test it, pre-order it or buy it no matter the price. Well, it seems that some are just unlucky.

According to electronista.com, it seems that some of the customers who pre-ordered Samsung Galaxy S3, a smartphone that was supposed to arrive at their doors on May 29th, would have an unpleasant surprise. It seems that the Samsung Galaxy S3 blue version debut was delayed due to production issues.

To be more precisely it seems that some manufacturing faults are affecting the Pebble Blue version of Samsung Galaxy S3, and the back lid haven’t passed Samsung’s quality demands. Rumor has it that the South Korea-based company have decided to dump more than 600,000 Samsung Galaxy S3 Pebble Blue back lids and change the manufacturing process.

We don’t know yet what’s the real problem with the blue lids, but we are glad to inform you that the white Samsung Galaxy S3 version was not affected by this fault.

We hope that Samsung will fix these issues soon and that all the 10 million Galaxy S3 pre-ordered unit will be shipped in time. The debut of Apple’s white iPhone 4S was affected by a similar matter, which lead to a market debut delay of almost 10 months.

We’ve seen the Samsung Galaxy S3 for the first time in early May at Samsung Unpacked event in London, and we fell in love right away. The device packs a lighting-fast quad-core 1.4 GHz Exynos 4 Quad chipset, 1 GB of RAM, 16/32/64 GB of internal storage and an 8 megapixel camera with LED flash and support for full HD video recording.

Galaxy S3 sports an amazing 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display that makes all other smartphones blush. But what makes Samsung’s flagship really special are features like Best Photo, S-Beam, S-Voice, Smart Stay and Pop up Play.

After the Android 4.0 ICS smartphone was showed to the public, most of the tech publications and tech savvies agreed that Galaxy S3 can be the real iPhone killer. The high pre-order figures indicated that Samsung’s device is indeed worthy of a place in the smartphone history after the South Koreans received not less than 10 million pre-orders.

We will be able to see soon how Samsung will handle this situation and we are curious to find out what caused these manufacturing errors, now that the smartphone’s debut is near… Sabotage?
