iPhone 5 to feature a 3.9-inch display

Here we come with one more iPhone 5 rumor, talking about a 3.9-inch Retina Display, with a 1,136 x 640 pixels resolution. According to 9to5Mac, there are two iPhone 5 models tested right now, though nobody can come up with a photo of them, because they are locked in a secured block.

The new display should have the same width as the one present on the iPhone 4S, but it’s height will increase to 3.5-inches, getting it to an aspect ratio of 16:9.

This rumor is probably close to reality, as we have many reasons to believe that Apple is going to increase the iPhone 5 display size in order to compete with the other makers. Now smartphones got bigger displays and it’s much likely that Apple will follow the trend.

The new iPhone 5 will probably be slimmer and even faster, featuring a better CPU, more RAM, and an overall improvement. According to most rumors, it will also come with an all-new iOS 6, designed for a bigger display and resolution.

From what we’ve seen until now, the new iPhone 5 will have five row of icons in order to accommodate more on one screen. Extended application user-interfaces are also rumored, which means Apple might mimic the Windows Phone Live Tiles or Android widgets, something iPhone users really wanted.

Considering the rumors are true and Apple currently works on two new iPhone 5 models ( 5.1 and 5.2 ), we could actually get a low or mid end device too, in order to grab a bigger market share.

Previous rumors have been talking about a liquid metal case, 4.6-inch display, and LTE support.
