Samsung Focus 2 Available At AT&T, The Price Is $50

It seemed like Samsung’s i337 “Mandel” would never be released. However, the South Korean company finally launched the device at CTIA. The phone is powered by Windows Phone 7.5 and it’s named Focus 2.

As everyone anticipated, the Samsung Focus 2 is available for sale at AT&T retailers across the United States as of yesterday. The device comes as a notable rival for Nokia Lumia 900 which had a great success among Americans. You probably remember the huge lines in front of the AT&T stores. Just like Lumia, the Samsung Focus 2 features LTE and Windows Phone 7.5 Mango. Among other specs, the Samsung Focus 2 i667 sports a 4-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 480 x 800 and 233 ppi pixel density. It has rear 5MP camera with autofocus and LED flash which allows you to record video at a quality of 720p, and in the front the phone has a VGA shooter.

The Samsung Focus 2 is powered by a 1.4GHz single-core processor which is the best CPU supported by Windows Phone at the moment and has a battery of 1,750mAh which can provide enough power to last you a whole day. The device has a pretty speedy connectivity, but also features some downsides that don’t raise it up to the same of Samsung. For instance, I would be careless not to mention that the Samsung Focus 2 has only 8GB of internal storage which can’t be expanded as it doesn’t feature a microSd slot. For some users 8GB might be enough, but for most it really is a worthless storage space. Another problem is that the smartphone only comes in Glossy Pure White, a girlish look which can’t be delightful for most guys.

However, considering that the Samsung Focus 2 costs only $50 under a two-year deal, there is not much to complain about.
