Samsung Galaxy S3 VS iPhone 4S VS HTC One X VS HTC One S

Samsung Galaxy S3 VS iPhone 4S VS HTC One X VS HTC One S

Now that all the Samsung Galaxy 3 is over once it was officially unveiled, it’s time to carefully analyze the new terminal, looking beyond the marketing curtain. After a quick glance at the device you would notice the unimpressive design and that nothing new unpredictable was fitted inside the new terminal. But let’s see how the Samsung flagship combines this hardware – software mixture in the benchmark tests.

We are dealing with a smartphone that comes with a quad core Exynos 4 chipset clocked at 1.4 GHz and 1 GB of RAM. The new Galax S3 is running on Android 4.0.4 and scored 5,642 in the Quadrant benchmark tests, according to GSMArena. The score is impressive, especially that HTC One X only 4,842 points and One S had a respectable 5,047, but still under the performance of the new Exynos 4 Quad. Samsung Galaxy S II and Sony Xperia S are barely keeping up with the new Samsung terminal, scoring 3,053 and 3,173 points, respectively.

Samsung Galaxy S3′s victory in Quadrant was underpinned by the Mali 400 MP GPU, making the device overscore yet another amazing device, HTC One X. In the SunSpider test, the JavaScript benchmark testing the processor performance, Galaxy S3 scored 1,479 points, but here less is more. The four cores based on 32 nm technology and clocked at 1.4 GHz did their job, and the new Samsung overscored HTC One X, One S and iPhone 4S once more, as Apple’s smartphone had 800 points more, thus a lot worse.

Least but not last, in BrowserMark benchmark test, Samsung Galaxy S3 smashed the competition, scoring 169,811 points, while HTC One X and One S weren’t able to do better than 100,000, and iPhone 4S only scored 88,725 points.

Now all we have to do is wait a little bit more and get our hands on the Samsung Galaxy S3 and see how it performs in real life.
