Another Samsung Galaxy S3 Disguised Prototype Leaked

Another Samsung Galaxy S3 Disguised Prototype Leaked

With almost a week left until the official launch event, Samsung Galaxy S3 have hit the web in a new leaked picture.

As you can see for yourself it’s probably just another prototype disguised into a test case, looking a lot different from the final design of the South Korean smartphone. We’ve told you a couple of weeks ago that it was reported that Samsung have sent the Galaxy S3 units to carrier testing. Rumor has it that the South Korean company have placed the components of the Galaxy S3 inside a “disguised prototype” in order to keep the real design of their next flagship smartphone away from the eyes of the public.

The device you can see in the picture confirms some of the rumors that hit the web lately. As you can see for yourself, this Samsung Galaxy S3 features a bigger display, most likely 4.65-inch, and it has a physical Home button. The rumor mill says that Samsung decided to keep the physical Home button in the last moment, as it was initially speculated that the smartphone will arrive with a GNex-ish button-less front, where the Home button will be replaced by the three on-screen Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich-specific buttons.

There are no new leaked details about the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S3, except for this photo. Anyway rumor has it that it will come with a 12 megapixel camera (some sources say it will keep the 8 megapixel unit) and that it will feature a new version of TouchWiz UI.

What we know for sure is that Samsung Galaxy S3 will arrive with a quad-core Exynos chipset, most likely clocked at 1.4 GHz. A device codenamed GT-I9300, a name associated by the press with the next Galaxy flagship, got benchmarked yesterday and the scores indicate that it will destroy almost everything on the market, from smartphones to tablets.

Samsung Galaxy S III will be officially unveiled on May 3rd, at Samsung Unpacked event in London. The Android powered device will become the official smartphone of the 2012 Olympic Games, an event sponsored by the South Korea-based company.
