Galaxy Nexus Pre-order Units Already Out Of Stock At Sprint

It seems that Samsung Galaxy Nexus is a big success for Sprint. Only three days have passed since the smartphone was released, but in case you want to make a pre-order you can’t anymore because all the Samsung Galaxy Nexus phones have already sold out. According to Sprints’s website the pre-order inventory is gone, and  the customers planning to buy the device will be able to do it starting on April 22nd, when the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be available in stores. Sprint’s version of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is just like the Verizon version having a 1.2GHz CPU, 32GB of internal storage, a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED display and a 5MP camera with autofocus, LED flash and support for Full HD video recording. In case you think about buying it, you should know that you will have to pay $199.99 for a contract that lasts two years.

It look like Sprints has not been expecting such as high number of pre-orders if it ran out of devices only three days. There are two possibilities: either Sprint reserved a small inventory for pre-orders having low expectations, or the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is really popular among users. I think it’s the latter, if we take in consideration the fact that Sprint’s other phone that comes with LTE technology (the Viper 4G) it’s still available in spite of being announced for a longer period of time.

The lucky customers who managed to pre-order the Samsung Galaxy Nexus should expect the device as soon as Friday. If not, it’s better to get up early on launch day, if you want to get your hands on one of the phones.

The global version of Galaxy Nexus was introduced in October 2011 at Samsung + Google “Unwrapping Ice Cream Sandwich” event in Hong Kong. One month later GNex hit the European market and it became world’s first smartphone to leave the factory gates pre-loaded with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
