Nokia Lumia 900 Tops Amazon Smartphone Sales, Price Is $49.99

Yesterday we’ve told you about the huge lines in front of AT&T stores, formed by the customers wanting to get their hands on Nokia Lumia 900. It looks like Nokia’s aggressive marketing campaign is a real success, as Lumia 900 is the best selling smartphone on Amazon, after just two days since it officially hit the market.

Besides the aggressive marketing, Nokia also prepared a special price for Lumia 900. The Windows Phone flagship can be yours for only $99 on a two-year agreement with AT&T. Moreover, on April 1st Nokia Lumia was on sale on Amazon, priced $0.01. Anyway, the Amazon price for Nokia Lumia 900 is now $49.99, so if you hurry up and get one now while it’s still in stock, you would be able to save $50. Of course, you will also have to sign a two-year contract with AT&T.

HTC Titan II’s debut at AT&T was synchronized with Nokia Lumia 900 launching, but the Taiwanese smartphone was shadowed by Nokia’s 4G LTE flagship smartphone.

Lumia 900 is not the only smartphone in the Lumia line-up. Nokia Lumia 800 and Nokia Lumia 710 were the first smartphones to join Nokia’s Windows Phone range, and they were first introduced at Nokia World event in October 2011. Back then we all wondered where the flagship of the Lumia line up is, but the Finland-based company kept it for a more important conference.

Nokia Lumia 900 with LTE support was introduced in January 2012 at Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and we all knew this will be a smartphone built for the North American market. The global Lumia 900 was showcased one month later at MWC 2012 in Barcelona, and it comes with similar specifications, but it doesn’t integrate 4G support. Rumor has it that the European version of Lumia 900 will debut with a more powerful 12 megapixel camera.

Regarding the technical specifications, Nokia Lumia 900 features a 4.3-inch AMOLED display with Nokia ClearBlack technology and Gorilla Glass coating, single-core Qualcomm Snapdragon Scorpion CPU clocked at 1.4 GHz, 512 MB of RAM and 16 GB of internal flash storage. As you probably guessed Lumia 900 comes with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango out of the box. The WP-powered device features a user-facing 1.3 megapixel camera for video calls, while the 8 megapixel camera mounted on the back packs autofocus, Carl Zeiss lens, dual LED flash and support for 720p HD video recording at 30 fps.
