10 Million Samsung Galaxy S III Units Already Pre-ordered?

For some reason we witnessed a lull in Samsung Galaxy S III rumors Рthe unannounced flagship of the South Korea-based company. Today we here something rather odd about Samsung Galaxy S III Р10 million units have been already pre-ordered world wide.

Samsung Galaxy S III is expected to rule the high-end league of Android-powered smartphones. The HTC One X reviews were released in the wild, and it seems that the terminal is not good enough. I haven’t got my hands on HTC’s quad-core smartphone yet, so I can’t share my opinion about it. Samsung shipped out 10 million Galaxy S II units in 5 months after the launch, so the pre-order number was for sure well bellow the Samsung Galaxy S III figures.

The information regarding Samsung Galaxy S III pre-order comes from Eldar Murtazin, the Russian blogger who became famous after most of the tech rumors started by him turned to be true. Who exactly made so many pre-orders, since Samsung Galaxy S III is not available for pre-order yet? It seems that they all come from retailers and carriers interested in having Samsung Galaxy S III on their shelves as soon as it hits the market. Rumor has it that Samsung’s Android-powered flagship release date was scheduled for mid-April or late May.

In June Samsung will hold an event in London where everybody thought Galaxy S III will be introduced. But after Samsung CEO, Lee Kun-hee, announced that the smartphone will arrive sooner than we expected, it was clear that the London-based event is not related to the Samsung Galaxy S III announcement, but with the Olympic Games, Samsung supports.

Rumor has it that Samsung Galaxy S III will come with a 4.7-inch HD Super AMOLED display with a 16:9 screen ratio, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Samsung confirmed that their proprietary quad-core chipset, dubbed Exynos, will be placed inside their high-end terminal. It is speculated that the CPU will be clocked at 1.5 GHz.
