Adobe Photoshop CS6 Free Beta Now Available For Download

Adobe have launched a free beta version of their graphic editing program for the first time in the last seven years. You can download Adobe Photoshop CS6 for Windows and Mac from here and here, respectively. Now let’s see what new features CS6 brings.

The main new improved feature is the user interface which now comes with darker colors and reorganized tools and functions in order to facilitate the access.

Photoshop CS6 includes two new tools, Content Aware Patch, which allows you to duplicate certain areas of a picture to “fill” other areas, a variation of Clone and Content Aware Move, which allows you to move an object to another place in the picture in seconds.

The features of Adoble’s new graphic editing software also sport new blur effects, a new body feature and Adaptive Wide Angle tool, which corrects the distortions of the camera’s lenses. Camera Raw 7 that was included in Photoshop Lightroom 4, will also be available in Photoshop CS6.

The improvements Adobe prepared for Photoshop CS6 are also aiming towards an enhancement of the way the user is working with layers, the Auto Correction tools have been revised and new brush types and an Oil Paint filter have been added.

The new Mercury Graphics Engine brings important enhancements in Adobe Photoshop CS6. The system uses the machine’s graphical power to its maximum capacity in order to improve the speed of the processes that require high resources, thus the CPU is used less and the GPU more. The graphic system which debuts with Photoshop CS6 increases the speed of tools like Liquify, Transform, Lighting Effects and Puppet Warp.

Besides the enhancements brought to the base version of the program, Photoshop CS6 Extended brings new ways of controlling the 3D and image quantity analysis support.

Adobe have found a way to help you connect Photoshop CS6 to other graphic editing applications easier, whether they belong to Adobe suite or have been developed by other companies.

Next to features like “Background Save” and “Auto Recovery” the “Sharing” and “Present Migration” functions have been introduced, which allow you to directly and rapidly add the settings you used on the older versions of Photoshop.

Adobe counts on the future of storage in the cloud services with their new Creative Cloud, which will help you download tools like Creative Suite 6, Photoshop CS6, Muse, Edge and the new Photoshop Touch apps for mobile devices.

Adobe haven’t announced the pricing for Photoshop CS6 and Photoship CS6 Extended, but they will be both available via the Creative Cloud service for $50 a month.

The final versions of Adobe Photoshop CS6 and Adobe Creative Cloud will become available in the second quarter of 2012.

Adobe Photoshop CS6 and Creative Suite will come with support for OS X Mountain Lion, Apple’s new operating system expected to debut this summer.
