Android 4.0.5 Update To Become Available For Download For Verizon Galaxy Nexus Users In Early April

Google is preparing to update the Galaxy Nexus smartphone in the near future. The Google Galaxy Nexus will be updated to Android 4.0.5 Ice Cream Sandwich, and it appears that the smartphone “works great” on Verizon. A lot of bug fixes have been added in the changelog as it’s going to be just a minor update in order to solve some issues that affected the users.

Mobile Panda King aka @black_man_x has been a reliable source in the past, and he definitely knows what he’s talking about therefore it’s safe to assume that Samsung Galaxy Nexus users will have to prepare for an update.

According to Mobile Panda King, Android 4.0.5 update will fix audio reboot issues, and the data falling asleep bug. It’s unclear why the previously leaked Android 4.0.4 build was never released to the public, but our guess is that Google decided to fix new problems as well.

It appears that the user interface as well as the default launcher are still present on the Galaxy Nexus, and that Verizon will begin pushing the software update in “early April,” provided everything goes well. The Big Red has shipped the build to testers, and it’s making the final adjustments therefore prepare your data plan for early April.

The rumor mill suggests that the Android 4.0.5 build will also improve battery life and will update the radios. Enhanced 4G LTE support would be greatly appreciated by lots of Galaxy Nexus users, but we’re going to have to wait at least a couple of more weeks to find out everything.
