New iPad Users Experiencing Overheating Issues

New iPad Users Experiencing Overheating Issues

A couple of weeks ago, Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, presented the new iPad during a press conference in San Francisco. The pre-order session started right away and since March 16th the new iPad is available for purchase in stores, too.

Soon after the pre-orders were opened the Cupertino-based company announced all the units were sold out, so it looks like the new iOS tablet is just another sales hit. The Apple enthusiasts who pre-ordered the new iPad got their hands on it on March 16th the same day when it officially became available for buy. Ever since the complaints about an overheating issue kept coming.

Many of the Apple’s new products had issues soon after the release. The iPhone 4 Antennagate scandal made the headlines for months in a row, but even so, Apple’s sales were not affected. Once the successor of the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, hit the market the angry owners kept complaining about the battery life of the device. Once again Apple’s sales were not affected.

Now it’s time for a new Apple product to come with a factory fault. It’s the new iPad which has an overheating issue. The new iPad owners have complained on the Apple’s support community website that their tablet is heating up in the lower left corner area. While some claim that the iPad gets “slightly warm,” other say that their tablet gets too hot to be held. We believe that Apple’s sales won’t be affected. The source of the issue might be the new higher-capacity battery or the new A5X dual-core SoC. So far, Apple went silent on the matter.

Those not aware of iPad’s technical specifications should know that new iPad features a 9.7-inch Retina Display with an amazing resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, dual-core 1GHz A5X processor, 1 GB of RAM, 16/32/64 GB of internal memory, 5 megapixel rear-facing camera with full HD video recording support and 4G LTE chip. The starting price of the iPad WiFi-only model is of $499, while the 4G LTE 16GB model can be yours for $629.
