How To Increase Font Size In Microsoft Windows 7

Don’t really know about you folks but in my case I have a real headache when trying to see small characters on different devices. Recently a friend of mine bought a Dell computer and searching for things while typing was a real deal. And this was a very difficult task also because of the small characters on screen. But luckily for you, there is a solution and some settings to adjust the font size. This applies to all of you who have Windows 7 as their operating system. In this Microsoft OS you have the option to increase the font display up to 200 percent of the original size. And to make things better most of programs out on the market also have a zoom option somewhere their settings. And even further there is another Windows 7 setting option that allows the user to use a Magnifier tool in order to enlarge different sections of the screen. Here are the few steps needed to be made in order to have these features:

  1. 1st click on the “Start” button and then type “Fonts” in the search bar. Then click on the “Make text and other items larger or smaller” option.

  2. Select the “Larger – 150%” option in order to get an increased font size of 150 percent.

  3. Now click on “Set Custom Text Size (DPI)” located on the left panel. Select “200%” in the drop-down menu and then click “OK” if you wish to have an enlarged text more than the previous selected 150 percent.

  4. Hold the “Ctrl” key and simply toll the mouse wheel forward and backward to get and enlarged or smaller text in different programs. Keep in mind this is a feature not presented in all programs but the majority of them support having such an option. For the smaller font roll the button backward to get it.

  5. Another way to solve this problem would be clicking on the “Start” button and then typing “Magnifier” in the search bar. From results select “Magnifier”. This is a very simple feature that lets you see big parts of the screen enlarged. This can be done by clicking on the magnifier icon located on the top left of your screen. If you desire to exit this option simply click on the Magnifier  “X” sign.

This are in fact some standard options offered by Windows 7 that you might find useful on different apps and OS.
