How To Fix Yahoo Messenger Chatting Issues

Many of us use Yahoo Messenger on a daily base. But there are some things you must solve in order for the app to run smoothly. There could be some issues that would interrupt the process of communicating with your friends or quittances. The most annoying would be when you can see what other write but you can’ respond because you can’t type in the chat box. Here are some things that might help you when it comes to handle this problem.

1st I would recommend closing some unnecessary programs. There will be some occasion when your Yahoo box chat would freeze just because there are too many applications running at one time. For those of you, who are a little strange to the computer world, know that every PC has a RAM memory. This is made by small memory chips that make your computer run multiple things at the same time. But this also means there is a limited amount of applications you can run at one time. To find out about how much memory your current apps consume you can press “Ctrl+Alt+Delete” and then click “Start Task Manager.” Now go and click on the “Memory” tab in order to see what programs are currently running and how much memory they are consuming. There is even the option to close the unnecessary ones by simply pressing “End Process.”

If this isn’t your issue then let’s move forward to your internet connection. This could also prove to be a problem in some cases. There could be some lag periods from the time you receive a message and the time you are trying to send one. If for example you are not able to send messages but people are still sending you things, you can simply type in Internet Explorer any address of a site in order to see your internet speed. I recommend Internet Explorer because this is the software that Yahoo Messenger uses to make an internet connection.

Another thing that I usually try when it comes to different issues is trying to connect to Yahoo Messenger on the web platform. Even if you don’t have installed Yahoo Messenger you can still use the application from your browser. The site can be found at “WebMessenger.Yahoo.com”. This means you can communicate with your buddies without putting much effort in installing the app in your computer. I would recommend also reinstalling the app and while the installation takes place use the web browser platform to stay in touch with people. The uninstall is made through Control Panel and is pretty strait forward.

If this doesn’t fix your problem then you need to restore things as they were at the beginning. As we explained earlier Yahoo Messenger is an app that is in tight connection with Internet Explorer so you can realize that modifying some things in the bowser could also mean bad things for the chat app. People from Yahoo recommend disabling any LAN settings that have been changed from the defaults. In order to do this there are a few steps you need to follow. Click on the “Start” button and then type “Run” in the search bar. Click on the “Run.exe” results and there start typing “inetcpl.cpl” into the box. Now press the “OK” button! A dialog box should appear. From there click on the “Connections” tab and then select the “LAN Settings” option. There could be some boxes that you may need to uncheck. I recommend unchecking them all and then press “OK”. Now go to Yahoo Messenger and click on “Messenger,” “Connection Preferences” and then “Connect directly to the Internet”. Now simply click on the OK option in order to finish the process.

These are just a few issues that could appear when using the app from Yahoo. If you have found some more and at the same time there are some solutions please don’t hesitate to contact us.
