How To Overclock The Samsung Galaxy S II CPU To 1.5GHz

Hi guys. You may know that the guys from Samsung has released their new Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone, the successor of Samsung Galaxy S. The smartphone is stronger and thiner and comes with a lot features. The main feature is the dual core processor of 1.2 GHz, named ARM Cortex – A9. Also, you may know, that Samsung Galaxy S II comes with a memory of 1 GB and a memory storage of 16 GB, but you can improve your storage thanks to the microSD slot, up to 32 GB. The default operations system is Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread with TouchWiz UI 4.0.   • You must to download from here the ODIN application.

  • Also, you must to download from here the Overclocked Kernel application.

Here are the instructions for How To Overclock The Samsung Galaxy S II CPU To 1.5GHz:
  1. First, you must to turn off your Samsung Galaxy S II and then you must to put it in Download mode(to put your Samsung Galaxy S II device in Download mode press and hold the following buttons: Volume Down + Power + Home).

  2. Then, you must to connect your Samsung Galaxy S II to your computer, using the USB cable.

  3. Next, you must to start the downloaded ODIN file and then you will be able to see the first box in yellow color.

  4. Now, you must to press the PDA button and then you must to choose the following file: galaxysii_oc_v1.tar.

  5. Next, you must check in the ODIN app the following boxes: Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time. Don’t check the Re-Partition box.

  6. Now, you must to press the Start button and you must wait until the Samsung Galaxy S II overclock process is complete(your Samsung Galaxy S II will restart).

  7. Next, you must to install on your Samsung Galaxy S II, from Android Market, the following application: SetCPU.

  8. Finally, you must to launch the installed application from step 7 (SetCPU) and then you will be able to set the Samsung Galaxy S II CPU frequency.
