How To Delele Gmail Email Forward Address

Even though the mail services from Google are not as popular as those from Yahoo! Mail, a lot of people are using Gmail. Among the features of Gmail, there’s one forwarding option that allows you to send email copies to another address. You may use this feature if you want to send a copy to a another mail address. But Google also offers you the possibility to turn off this option, so if you are sure that you no longer need your emails to be forwarded to a secondary Gmail address and you don’t know how to disable this option follow the steps as shown in this tutorial.

Now let’s see how to delete Gmail forward address:

  1. First you need to log into your Google Mail account

  2. In the top-right of the Gmail page you should be able to see the “Options” button (a cogwheel icon). Click it.

  3. From the drop-down list select “Mail settings” and click it

  4. Go to the¬†”Forwarding and POP/IMAP” tab (located at the top of the “Settings” page)

  5. From the¬†”Forwarding and POP/IMAP” menu, select “Remove [here goes the email address you want to delete].” You can also disable email forwarding by selecting¬†”Disable forwarding” option (notice that the email address will be kept)

  6. When the confirmation screen pops-up click “OK” to confirm your action. If you go for the¬†”Disable forwarding” option, you will have to click the “Save Changes” button.
