How To Upgrade AT&T’s Motorola Bravo To Android 2.2 Froyo Firmware

I have some special news for you smartphone lovers around the world, and especially for Motorola Bravo users. Are you wondering when the new Android Froyo 2.2 will arrive? Wonder no more because we are here to show you how it’s done.

Recent rumors has it that Motorola wanted to completely stop providing future updates for the Motorola Bravo, but after AT&T strongly insisted, they had nothing to do but continue with upgrading the device.

Please be very careful before you start the update, make sure that your smartphone has the AT&T logo because it’s the only device that is compatible with this beta release.

Please DO NOT FORGET that by upgrading to the Android Froyo 2.2 version you will lose all your personal data such as contacts, SMS, pictures, videos, etc. The most important thing is to make a back-up before you proceed with the update.

How to update your Motorola Bravo with Android Froyo 2.2:

  1. First thing you need to do is to download into your personal computer the Motorola att Bravo Update zip file.

  2. Extract the zip file on your desktop for better access during the installation progress. While you try to unzip the file, if a password is requested remember that androidadvices.com is the one.

  3. Now connect your Motorola Bravo device to your PC via USB cable and place the fetched update.zip file on your device.

  4. Shut down the device and then make sure to remove the SIM card and memory card as well.

  5. Next thing to do is to start your smartphone in the Recovery Mode. To do this you have to turn on the device by pressing and holding the Volume Down key and in the same time press the Power button to switch on your device.

  6. When you will be prompted in the Recovery Mode, you will have an option named Apply update.zip. Select this option by using the Volume keys and the update process will start. Remember that the process MUST NOT be interrupted because it can easily brick your device.

  7. After the process ends, your Motorola Bravo will restart and then you can enjoy Android 2.2 without any interruptions or problems.
