How To Watch Movies / Videos On Apple iPad

The launch of the Apple iPad have created a real fuss, and sales figures have exceeded all expectations. The Apple table is a touchscreen-based device, that allows you to navigate on the internet, listen to music, and watch movies by purchasing and downloading them from iTunes Store. You can also watch movies from your computer by syncing it to your iPad and transferring MP4 videos. In order to be able to see movies on your Apple iPad you should use the iPod app of the Apple tablet.

Let’s see how you can watch movies on your iPad using both ways:

Download it from iTunes:

  1. Tap the “iTunes” application on the homescreen of your Apple iPad. This action will launch the “iTunes Store”

  2. The “Films” section of the iTunes Store will display the movies available for your Apple device. You can also find movies to watch by searching for them, using the “Search” field, located in the upper right corner.

  3. After opening a movie listing page (by tapping it from the list), you will notice the “Buy” and the “Rent” buttons. Whether you want to buy it or rent it, you have to press the “Buy” / “Rent” button twice, to confirm the action.

  4. After the download is complete, go to the in-built iPod application of your Apple iPad, then go to the “Films” section by tapping the “Films” button (located in the left column). This should open a list of the movies currently on your tablet.

  5. Simply tap the desired movie, which will start the playback of the respective movie.

  6. Once the playback is over, tapping the “Done” button will send you back to the Apple iPod library.

Transferring it from a computer:

  1. First make sure you have the iTunes application installed on your computer. If not, download and install it. Once the installation finishes, launch iTunes.

  2. You should be able to see the “Library” menu in the left of the iTunes window. Simply drag and drop the desired video in to the “Library” section (remember that the videos must be in the MP4 format in order to be able to see it).

  3. Click on the iPad from the “Devices” list in iTunes, then go to the “Films” tab. Here you will be able to see a list of all the movies you dropped in to the library. Check the “Sync Films” box, then click the Sync button in the lower right corner of the iTunes window. This will transfer all the videos in the “Films” section to your iPad.

  4. After the synchronization is finished launch the iPod application of the Apple iPad, then play the desired video by tapping it.
