How To Disable Facebook’s New Photo Viewer And Switch Back To The Old One

If you are a Facebook user by now you probably notice that a new lightbox type photo viewer is available which gets enabled by default you can’t disable it. Facebook do not have an switching off button yet.

Here are the efficient steps to this problem:

disable.facebookphoto.viewer

  1. Go to Facebook;

  2. Click on the photo of one of your friends;

  3. The link in your address bar will and in ” &theater “;

  4. Delete ” &theater” from the end;

  5. Press “Enter”;

  6. Now click Next or Previous and Facebook’s new photo viewer will be disabled and you’ll be stuck with the old one until next use.

The above step-by-step guide is just the first method and there are also a couple of more other ways to switch back to the old Facebook photo viewer.

  1. Follow the first 2 steps above;

  2. Right-click on the photo, and pick “Open In New Tab”;

  3. It will be opened in Facebook’s old photo viewer.

The third method goes like this:

  1. Follow the two steps form the first guide;

  2. Right-click on the photo, and pick “Reload”;

  3. The photo won’t be reloaded in the Facebook Theater Viewer.
