How to update Nexus S to Android 2.3.2

In the following guide we will show you how to update the Nexus S to Android 2.3.2. This will install the latest Android version available for the Google flagship. Although it’s just a minor update, Google assured us that this is going to fix that nasty SMS bug, which made your phone send messages to wrong people. No word has been spoken about the random restarting BUG, or about the browser problems ( although some users encountered a more stable behavior ).

As for the authenticity of the Nexus S update for Android 2.3.2, we have to say that this is the genuine thing. The file is hosted on the official Google server and we have been assured that this is the actual version that is going to be pushed over-the-air. Yes, that’s right. Google is going to send this as an OTA update, soon. For those who want to manually install it, wait no more.

Before you start, please make sure that you comply with the following requirements:

  • You must not be Rooted ( stock version ).

  • You must be on build GRH78. To check the version, you can go to Settings -> About phone and there look for the build number.
