  1. Dial ##634#

  2. A diagnostic mode will open. Enter *#7284#, using the phone’s dialer.

  3. Switch to “Modem, Tethered Call” and wait for the restart.

  4. Now connect the Samsung Focus to the computer, using an USB cable, and wait until the drivers are being installed.

  5. On the Samsung Focus, go to Control Panel -> Network and Sharing Center -> Settings. You should see something about the Samsung modem.

  6. Apply the following settings:
    Number: *99***1#
    User Name: [email protected] /* */
    Password: CINGULAR1

  7. Now click Connect.
