Firefox Tips and Tricks: How to use shortkeys for tab navigation


If you’re a Firefox user then you must know there are some great shortkeys for tab browsing that will save you a lot of time. Check out the following tips:

  • If you have more Firefox windows opened and you want to merge them into one, drag and drop the tabs from the one you wish to the target window.

  • Press Ctrl + Tab to go to the next tab.

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Tab to go to the previous tab.

  • Jump to a specific tab by pressing Ctrl + the tab number. e.g Ctrl + 5 to go to the fifth tab.

  • If you want to visit a non clickable link without copy pasting it, select the link and drag it to a tab.

  • To open a recently closed tab press Ctrl + Shift + T.

  • If you want to open a link in a new tab, middle click it.

  • Change your tab’s order by dragging and dropping them on the position you want to move them.

  • Close the current tab by pressing Ctrl + W.
