In the following guide you will learn how to install the Android 2.2.1 ( Froyo )OS on the iPhone 3G / 2G using Bootlance 2.1, a simple app that can be downloaded through the Cydia portal and used without the need of any cables. That means no computers or MACs will be required for the following steps. All you have to do is to search for the free application and follow my guidelines bellow.

Unfortunately not all devices are supported by Bootlance. You can only install the Android OS on any iPhone 2G running on 3.1.2 or 3.1.3 firmwares. For those that have an iPhone 3G, you must use iOS 3.1.2, 3.1.3, 4.0, 4.0.1, 4.0.2, 4.1. Any other device is not supported. Also, you need to have jailbreak before running this. All iPhones listed above that have been jailbroken using PwnageTool, Redsn0w ( except 0.9.6.b2 ) and BlackRa1n.
