In the following guide you will learn how to sync your bookmarks from Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer ( IE ) and Safari browsers, to your iPhone 4, 3GS, 3G, iPad or any iDevice. If you want to store all of your accounts, passwords, addresses and favorite pages from your Mac to your iPhone or iPad, this is the perfect guide. It only requires few steps and software tools. At the end, your iDevice will contain all the data that your browser has. The method itself is limited to few browsers at the moment, but there are other ways to extend it.

First, the only things you will need are iTunes 10, an USB cable and an Apple device. The feature is not currently built into iTunes, but it may be used for some browsers.

How to Sync the iPhone / iPad with Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer
  1. Connect the device to your MAC, using an USB cable.

  2. Start iTunes and click on your device. It should be located under the “Device” tab, in the left panel.

  3. Click on the “Info” tab and then scroll down to “Other”. Here you should check the “Sync bookmarks with” box. Choose the browser you have from the other box.

  4. Click on Sync and then wait for the information to be transferred to your device. This should take only a few moments, depending on how much information you have.

  5. On the iPhone / iPad, go to Safari and then tap on the “Open” icon. Here you will find all the bookmarks that have been transferred from your MAC.
