How to install GameCenter on iPhone 3G on iOS 4.1

I love freedom guys. I also know you love it too. So shy not follow this guide, in order to install the GameCenter on the iPhone 3G. Although Apple hasn’t designed it for the 3G owners, this guide makes it available for those who are running on a jailbreaked iOS 4.1. If you are not yet on 4.1, or jailbroken, we have guides for MAC and PC users. No bugs were reported, or any issues related whatsoever with the GameCenter. This guide will take some time, so please buckle up for a long journey. This can be done on a MAC or on a PC and it will take around 10 minutes. Have fun playing.

How to install the GameCenter on the iPhone 3G running on iOS 4.1
  1. Download the GameCenter and extract it on your Desktop.

  2. Launch Cydia, Tap on Search and type “OpenSSH“. Click on the search result, tap on “Install”, and then on “Confirm”.

  3. On your PC / MAC, download and install CyberDuck for Mac or WinSCP for Windows. Run the program, and use the following settings when started:

MAC: On the “Server” field, use your iPhone IP address, for the “UserName” type “root”, the “Password” must be “alpine” and choose the SSH File Transfer as an “Protocol”.
Windows: the same like above, besides the protocol, which should be SCP.

      Step 3

  4. Once connected, navigate to “/private/var/stash/Applications”, and paste here the GameCenter.app you downloaded on above. Now right click on it and set the permission to 775.

  5. Now navigate to “/system/libary/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/” and save a copy of “N82AP.plist” file on your desktop.

  6. Choose one of the following functions (through folders) you want to activate. We recommend only the GameCenter. Once you made your mind, paste the N82AP.plist in the according folder. This should override the existing one.

    Step 6

  7. Now go to” System/Libary/LaunchDeamons/” and drag and drop the “com.apple.gamed.plist” file into this directory.

  8. Paste the “gamed” file into the “usr/libexec/” folder and set the 775 permission like we did above.

    Step 8

  9. Reboot the iPhone 3G and that’s it. Enjoy the GameCenter.
