How to uninstall Windows Media Player 12


Windows Media Player 12, developed by Microsoft, is the release of Windows Media Player succeeding Windows Media Player 11. It was first introduced in October 2008 at the 2008 Professional Developers Conference and has been released as part of the Windows 7 operating system. It is unknown if it will be released for Windows XP or Windows Vista.

MP12 does not have standalone setup installer available for free download. As such, Windows 7 users cannot uninstall and install Windows Media Player 12 manually. In fact, there is no entry of WMP12 in “Programs and Features” that allows removal.

3.Expand Media Features, by clicking the plus near Media.

4.Click on the check box for Windows Media Player and Windows Media Center, so it looks like this:

5.Click yes to continue on the dialog box saying:

6.Click OK to remove WMP and WMC, and quit.
7.Restart computer.
